Free app. Paid relay.
Boardhop the app costs nothing and has nothing to sell you inside it. The paid product is the Boardhop relay: a small service an organization turns on so Azure DevOps events reach its people's phones as real push notifications, and so the features that need a server listening on your behalf can exist at all.
Free
Everything in the app, for anyone with an Azure DevOps Services account. No adverts, no tracking, no upgrade prompts.

You pay for the people who actually used it
What counts
A user is active in a calendar month if they opened Boardhop for your organization at least once that month. Not whether a notification was delivered, not whether a seat was assigned.
No seat admin
Nobody assigns or reclaims licences. Somebody joins the team and installs the app, and they are covered; somebody leaves and stops opening it, and they drop off the next bill.
Checkable
The admin hub inside Azure DevOps shows the counted list for the current month, by name, so a bill can be reconciled without asking us.
A floor, not a trap
The $15 monthly minimum exists because card fees on a $3 charge would be a tenth of it. Above five active users the price is simply $3 each.

Install the Boardhop extension
A Project Collection Administrator installs it from the Azure DevOps Marketplace. It is a free listing.
Turn the relay on
The hub under Organization settings creates the service hook subscriptions across every project in one pass, and shows their health afterwards.
Your trial starts
30 days for the whole organization, no card. We remind you seven days before it ends and on the day.
Subscribe, or don't
Checkout and invoices are handled by Stripe from inside the hub. If the trial simply ends, push pauses and everyone keeps the free app; the hooks stay in place, so subscribing later resumes immediately.

Before you ask finance
Who can buy it?
An organization, through a Project Collection Administrator. There is no plan an individual buys for themselves — individuals use the free app, which refreshes its activity feed whenever it is open.
Who is the merchant?
Stripe, as merchant of record. Stripe handles the payment, sales tax, VAT and GST, and the receipts and invoices in the customer portal. You can collect a VAT or tax ID at checkout.
Is there an annual plan?
Yes — about ten months' price paid once. The exact shape for a per-active-user plan paid up front is being finalised; ask us and we will quote it.
What happens if a payment fails?
You get a banner in the admin hub and a grace period of at least a week before push pauses. Your hook subscriptions are never deleted, so nothing has to be set up again.
Can we cancel?
At any time, from the customer portal. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. See the refund policy.
Why is there nothing to buy inside the app?
Because the relay is sold to organizations, not to the person holding the phone. The app therefore carries no prices, no upgrade prompts and no links to this page — it simply says that push for your organization is turned on by an administrator.
